Sell the raw mutton to the Butcher when the herd outgrows the pen, keep the cooked meat for yourself, and let dye do the rest: coloured wool sells for more than the plain kind at the Shepherd, which is where a wool farm turns from a chore into a steady emerald source.

The by-product that feeds you
