Firefly Bush in Minecraft trading
Firefly Bush is a Wandering Trader exclusive: no job villager buys or sells it at all, so the roaming merchant with the two llamas is the only source, at 3 emeralds each.
No recipe in Java 26.2 produces it: it is gathered from the world rather than made.

The 1 trade on this item was read out of the trade files Minecraft Java 26.2 ships in its own data, checked on against the item, both amounts and the use limit. Bedrock 1.26.30.5 is read as well, and where it disagrees the row says how. Which files, and what is not checked.
Your odds of finding Firefly Bush
A villager only shows part of its trade table, so knowing who trades firefly bush is not the same as getting it. The friendliest roll here is the wandering trader (common pool): 6.6% of them carry it, so it takes about 15.2 of them on average before one does.
| Villager | Tier | Villagers with this offer | Rolls to see it | Most from one villager | After a cure |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Wandering Trader | common pool | 6.6% (5 in 76)same in Bedrock | about 15.2 | 12 firefly bush in totalhe never restocks | cannot be cured |
The chance is the draw size over the pool size in the game's own trade set file for that tier. The Bedrock line under it is the same sum on Bedrock's own table, which splits a tier into groups and draws out of each one separately, so the two editions often disagree. The wandering trader has no workstation and never restocks, so his row is everything that offer will ever give you, and he has no reputation to earn, so curing does nothing for him. Counted from the game's own draw sizes. How that check works.
Who trades Firefly Bush, and at what price
The Wandering Trader sells Firefly Bush for 3 emeralds each. He does not buy firefly bush back: that offer runs one way.
No standard villager profession lists Firefly Bush in its trade table, so the trader above is the whole market for it.
Is buying Firefly Bush from the Wandering Trader worth it?
He asks 3 emeralds each, and 56 of the other 75 come cheaper. Price is the easy part: he draws his stock from a shared pool, so catching one that happens to be carrying firefly bush is the real constraint.

What 3 emeralds cost in goods
The Wandering Trader asks 3 emeralds for a firefly bush. 8 of the 72 villagers that pay emeralds, emptied out:
| A full slot of | To | Emeralds | Buys |
|---|---|---|---|
| 12 diamonds | journeyman Armorer | 12 | 4 firefly bushes |
| 48 iron ingots | apprentice Armorer | 12 | 4 firefly bushes |
| 72 pumpkins | apprentice Farmer | 12 | 4 firefly bushes |
| 120 sweet berries | master Butcher | 12 | 4 firefly bushes |
| 192 any dye | journeyman Shepherd | 16 | 5.3 firefly bushes |
| 240 raw cod | apprentice Fisherman | 16 | 5.3 firefly bushes |
| 384 feathers | expert Fletcher | 16 | 5.3 firefly bushes |
| 288 paper | novice Cartographer | 12 | 4 firefly bushes |
3 diamonds against 72 paper for the same 3 emeralds, 24 times the carrying, and the shortest wait is the Shepherd at 1.9 real minutes of shelf, gathering not counted.
How to actually get Firefly Bush from the trader
The Wandering Trader is not part of any village. He arrives on his own near where you are playing, with two leashed trader llamas behind him, stays for roughly forty minutes to an hour, and then vanishes whether or not you traded with him. There is no workstation to place and no job block to break, so the usual tricks for steering a villager toward a particular offer do nothing.
He does not buy firefly bush. He takes six kinds of item and this is not one of them, so the offer runs one way: emeralds out of your inventory, firefly bush into it.
Each trader carries only a slice of the full stock list, so the one standing in front of you may simply not have firefly bush today. If he does and you want more than one visit's worth, put a name tag on him: a named mob will not despawn, which turns a passing merchant into a permanent shop you can come back to.
